Regular Lead- 100% Lead is the most economical and recyclable. Best for short procedures as this is the heaviest in weight. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 98% attenuation at 90kV.
Lightweight Lead- Lead-Tin mix is 10-15% lighter in weight than regular lead and recyclable. Mid-priced and recommended for medium length procedures. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 96.9% attenuation at 90kV.
LEAD FREE- Antimony-Bismuth mix 20-25% lighter in weight than regular lead and is the most environmentally friendly. This is the lightest in weight and the most comfortable for longer procedures. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 97% attenuation at 90kV.
