Back Relief Male or Female Lead X-Ray Aprons with a BRX Belt transfers weight from the shoulders to the hips using a built-in, wide elastic belt. It provides both front and back radiation protection and is designed to relieve strain on the shoulders and back using a unique bionic system designed to help with lower back stress or strain by providing incredible support and comfort. making it more comfortable for longer periods of wear. The pulley system cinches the belt. The system and cords are backed by a lifetime warranty. The BRX belt can be adjusted for various body positions and is comfortable when worn oujtside our X-Ray apparel (may also be used with other apron styles). Lighter weight protection options are recommended for this model.

    Our protective garments and shields are available in three core materials for you to choose the option that best suits your needs. Whether you are looking to maximize your budget or reduce strain on your shoulders and back, we have you covered from the most economical to the most comfortable and environmentally friendly.

    Regular Lead - 100% Lead is the most economical and recyclable. Best for short procedures as this is the heaviest in weight. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 97% attenuation over 80, 100, 120 KVP.
    Lightweight Lead - Lead-Tin mix is 10-15% lighter in weight than regular lead and recyclable. Mid-priced and recommended for medium length procedures. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 96.8% attenuation over 80, 100, 120 KVP.
    Lead Free - Antimony-Bismuth mix 20-25% lighter in weight than regular lead and is the most environmentally friendly. This is the lightest in weight and the most comfortable. 0.5mm Pb protection averages 96.6% attenuation over 80, 100, 120 KVP.


    Full Protective Apron sizing is based on actual body measurements. Length should be measured from the sternal notch down. Full Protection Aprons should guard to just above or below the knee depending on your preference.
